Ben has a lifelong passion for helping people understand financial nuances so they can make money decisions that are best for them and their families.
A practicing fee-only financial planner for over a decade, Ben co-founded Fully Financial to pursue his dream of opening his own financial planning firm and offering an even greater level of personalized wealth management services to more people and families.
Prior to opening Fully, Ben worked at a midsize fee-only firm where he served as partner and chief financial officer, in addition to leading a financial planning team responsible for 200+ client households and managing the firm's headquarters in Athens, Georgia.
Ben holds his CFP® professional and AIF® designations and is an Enrolled Agent licensed to practice tax matters before the IRS.
Committed to both his profession and his community, Ben currently serves the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) as co-chair of its DEI committee and a member of its LGBTQ+ Pride committee. Locally, he serves as treasurer for Athens nonprofit Books for Keeps and as a director of Athens Pride and Queer Collective (APQC). He is also a member of the Athens Area Chamber of Commerce's LEAD Athens Class of 2026.
Ben is a "Double Dawg," having received both his master's degree in Financial Planning and bachelor's degree in Consumer Economics (summa cum laude with highest honors) from the University of Georgia.
While at UGA, he worked as a financial counselor at UGA’s ASPIRE Clinic, providing pro bono financial advice to underserved communities in Athens. He also served as a site coordinator with UGA's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program and volunteered at The Ark, helping to provide financial education to community members.
Ben is a past president of the UGA Family and Consumer Sciences Alumni Association, past chair of the Young Alumni Council for the UGA College of Family and Consumer Sciences, past chair of NAPFA's Genesis Committee, and past member of NAPFA's national board of directors.
Ben grew up in Connecticut and Georgia and studied abroad in Costa Rica prior to landing in Athens. He is passionate about his family (including his three rescue dogs), Roth IRAs, reading, and well-organized to-do lists.
