Since he was 19, Ben has been passionate about helping people understand financial nuances and make money decisions that are best for them and their families.
A practicing fee-only financial planner for 10 years, Ben co-founded Fully Financial in 2023 to pursue his dream of opening his own financial planning firm and offering an even greater level of personalized wealth management services to more people and families.
Prior to opening Fully, Ben worked at a midsize fee-only firm where he served as partner and chief financial officer, in addition to leading a financial planning team responsible for 200+ client households and managing the firm's primary office in Athens, Georgia.
Ben holds his CFP® professional and AIF® designations, is an Enrolled Agent licensed to practice before the IRS, and is a featured financial planner with Fee-Only Network. Committed to both his profession and his community, Ben currently serves on the board of directors for the National Association of Personal Financial Advisors (NAPFA) and as treasurer for local Athens nonprofits Books for Keeps and Athens Pride and Queer Collective (APQC).
Ben is a "Double Dawg," having received both his master's degree in Financial Planning and bachelor's degree in Consumer Economics (summa cum laude with highest honors) from the University of Georgia. While at UGA, he worked as a financial counselor at UGA’s ASPIRE Clinic, providing pro bono financial advice to underserved communities in Athens. He also served as a site coordinator with UGA's Volunteer Income Tax Assistance Program and volunteered at The Ark, helping to provide financial education to community members.
Ben is a past president of the UGA Family and Consumer Sciences Alumni Association, past chair of the Young Alumni Council for the College of Family and Consumer Sciences, and past chair of NAPFA's Genesis Committee.
Ben grew up in Connecticut and Georgia and studied abroad in Costa Rica prior to landing in Athens. He is passionate about his three dogs, Roth IRAs, reading, to-do lists, and of course, his family.
